Main Job Responsibilities
Process Office and Shop Payroll
Maintain UltiPro and TMW systems, identify and test appropriate upgrades
Supervise Driver Payroll administrators and processes
Prepare 940's and 941's, state unemployment and payroll withholding tax returns and reconciliations
Prepare required filings (FUTA, FICA, etc.)
Prepare federal and state withholding deposits
Prepare and provide information for EEOC reporting and nondriver FTE counts
Process W-2's and 1099's at year-end and perform quarterly and year-end reconciliation
Supply employment verification information
Maintain payroll excel spreadsheets
Approve and maintain Comdata Security cards
Handle phone calls related to payroll questions
Assist with month-end and accounting workpapers (accrued wages, accrued vacation, cash-payroll reconciliation, miscellaneoue expense reconciliation and others as assigned)
Assist with miscellaneous accounting projects
Education and Experience
Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting or Human Resources preferred
2 - 3 years similar work experience
Certified Payroll Professional preferred
Skills and Personal Characteristics
Knowledge of Payroll rules & regulations
Able to understand and apply guidelines, policies and procedures
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
Skilled in analyzing information
Effective written and verbal communication skills
