Main Job Responsibilities
Handle customer accounts (communication, tracking, develop relationships)
Book freight with customers (take extra freight, solicit freight when needed)
Arrange pick-up and delivery of customer freight to best utilize capacity, company owned or outside carriers
Work closely with Load Planners, Team Leaders, Sales and Off-shifts to service customers
Data entry of loads into the computer
Ensure that our service levels are meeting expectations
Manage Customer expectations
Maintain responsiveness (deal with situations as they come up appropriately)
Education and Experience
4 year degree preferred (Transportation and Logistics is preferred)
At least 1 year in the transportation field with emphasis on customer service and soliciting freight
